An Army veteran and his family have been given a gift. Sergeant Jason Nielson, an army veteran, was injured in Iraq in October of 2005. Homes for Our Troops and Lacrosse Homes offered to build a special home for the disabled veteran. The home is not built yet. But Friday's ground-breaking included veterans and civic leaders from around Delaware. Nielson is grateful for the team's efforts.

Homes for our troops we're going to renovate our house to make it more wheelchair accessible and then lacrosse homes stepped in and said instead of doing this, why don't we just build them a whole new house and my jaw just hit the floor, I couldn't believe it.

Both organizations plan to do more for veterans. As for Sergeant Nielson, he's planning on going back to school. His family is expecting its third child this year.
